The cloth
Cotton in a true vermilion. It is a red with orange in it, so it sits warm against you.
The hand work
A panel of gold bugle beads, gold thread and red beadwork sits across one shoulder and the top of the chest, built up in shapes like a patchwork. The rest of the dress is plain.
Wear it
Buttoned to the neck for work, worn open over a trouser like a long jacket or belted for dinner. Flat leather sandals are all it needs.
